DEATH – SHAW James Inquest & Crown & Anchor

FATAL ACCIDENT – INQUEST. REDCAR 

            On Monday afternoon (21/02) an inquest was held at the Crown and Anchor Hotel, on the body of James Shaw, fish hawker, residing in the Fisherman’s Square, Redcar. From the evidence adduced it seems that the deceased had fallen off his fish cart if you days previously at Eston, and was seriously injured. He was taken home, where he was attended by Mr Locke. He died on Sunday from the effects of the fall. The jury returned a verdict of “Accidental death.”
