REDCAR AND COATHAM PHILOSOPHICAL ASSOCIATION
The first session of this new association was brought to a close on the 18th inst. The work already accomplished, includes a course of seven lectures upon “Physical Geography,” by the Rev. J. Davy, M.A., of the Coatham Grammar School; seven upon “Geology,” by Mr. T. D. Ridley, C.E.; and ten upon “Inorganic Chemistry,” by Mr. Jeremiah Head, F.C.S. The lectures have been amply illustrated by diagrams, specimens, and experiments (the expense being borne by the lecturers respectively), and a free welcome has been offered to all who desired to attend.
