ENTERTAINMENT AT WARRENBY

             Entertainment was given in the Church School-room, Warrenby, on Wednesday evening (30/01), in order to raise funds for providing a treat for the school children. In absence of the vicar (the Rev. L. B. Towne), Dr. Locke took the chair. The following programme was very creditably gone through:-Piano fantasia, “Martha,” Mr. H. M. Gibbons; song, “The Bell Ringer,” Dr. Anderson; duet, “The minute gone at sea, ”Messrs. Coverdale and Ord (encored); song, “Love’s request,” Miss Crabtree; song and chorus, “Molly darling,” Mr. Pallister (encored); recitation, “The bewitched breeches,” Mr. Wynn (encored); four part song, “God bless our sailor Prince,” choir; song, “Ring out wild bells,” Dr. Anderson; piano, “Reverie in G,” Miss Wood; song, “Far away.” Miss Crabtree; recitation, “The life boat,” Mr. Drayton (encored); quartet, 1st and 2nd violins, Rev. G. R. Fletcher and Mr. A. Coverdale, assisted by Mrs. Fletcher and Miss Wood on the piano (encored); song, “Brother the Men,” Miss Davis (encored); glee, “See our oars,” song, “The nightingale’s trill,” Dr. Anderson; finale, “God save the Queen.”
