THE REDCAR PIER COMPANY, LTD.
The annual meeting of this company was held in the Reading Room, Redcar, yesterday, Thursday (30/03), Adml Chaloner, the chairman of the company, presiding. The chairman called on Mr. J. H. Webster, the secretary to read the directors’ report, which, together with the statement of accounts, was unanimously adopted. The latter showed a balance in favour of the company on revenue account of £256.10s.3d., But the liabilities on capital account being £335.19s.11d., it was, on the recommendation of the directors and the unanimous vote of the shareholders present, resolved that the balance in hand should be appropriated towards the liquidation of the debt on capital account, consequently there will be no dividend this year. Adml Chaloner, G. D. Trotter, Esq., and J. Harrison, Esq., the retiring directors, were re-elected, and Mr Bland was re-elected auditor. The proceedings closed with a hearty vote of thanks to Adml Chaloner.
