2012 18/02/2012. Motor cyclists from across the area met at Kirkleatham Hall following their Father Christmas fundraising to reveal they had collected £22,501.39 for various charities. The group of  motor cyclists are known as Boundary 500 and have raised £391k for charity since they started out.

St Cuthbert’s Church, Kirkleatham, Grade 1 Listed Building, having received a grant of £41,000, (200() and a follow up grant of £60,000) in 2011 gets a further grant of £97,000 to spend renovating th baroque mausoleum built 1739/1940 by James Gibbs in memory of Marwood William Turner.
2012 22/03/2012. Cleveland Police hit Redcar & Cleveland area with 60 officers partaking in raiding homes of 20 suspect burglars and shop lifters, in Operation Arrow. Arrests made including 2 female shoplifters.
