No known date on lifeboat registers.  A Scottish trawler left Hartlepool selling a heavy catch of fish on advantageous terms, and, tired out with their labours, they retired to rest, leaving only the man at the wheel. He, too, we wearied out, fell asleep, and woke up to find the vessel ashore at Saltburn....

Of Sunderland, lost off Huntcliff with all hands. People on the cliff top able to see wreck and  heard the cries of men below. Unable to assist. No rocket brigade or lifeboat could get any where near the wreck and all the ship crew perished.
