REDCAR LIFEBOAT BURTON-ON-TRENT
On Monday, 19th, June 1871, the crew of the Redcar lifeboat the “Burton on Trent,” had their usual quarterly exercise, this time under the supervision of Captain Ward, R.N., the inspector appointed by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, but the sea being calm they had no opportunity of showing the capabilities of the craft, on their own proficiency. The result was, however, considered satisfactory.
