MISS TURNER’S SCHOOL, COATHAM

The annual examination of the school took place on the 23rd ult, when the Rev. E. Balshaw., Master of the Norton Grammar School, examined the pupils, and afterwards gave the following satisfactory report:-
“Having examined your school in the subjects specially appointed for the Cambridge Middle Class Examinations, I beg to hand you the following report. The voice examinations of the younger scholars please me very much. The ease and read the lines with which they answered showed unmistakable the pains taken in the instruction. With scarcely any exceptions there were well up in their subjects. The older scholars, by their work on paper, showed individually that their information was extensive, and that their studies were well directed; and by their willingness to sacrifice their hours of recreation to do the work of the Examination that their loved by their school and all connected therewith.”
