DEATH – PEIRSON John Mr. 74years. Kirkleatham Estate Agent

Accreditation The Redcar and Saltburn-by-the-Sea Gazette 05/01/1877

The sudden demise of Mr. John Peirson, which took place at his residence, Beech House, York, on the 1st inst., will be heard of by a large circle in this district with surprise and regret. The deceased gentleman was the agent of the Kirkleatham Estate for many years, and then resided at Thornton Fields, near Guisborough. He resigned his agency on his appointment as agent to Lord Downe’s extensive Yorkshire estates which he has since held. But a short time ago Mr. Peirson was in Redcar, in apparently perfect health, and we understand this was the case up to the time of his death, which was extremely sudden, whilst in bed, and without any premonition whatever. Mr. Peirson was seventy four years of age. The interment will take place at Danby-in-Cleveland at one o’clock today (Friday)
