More than 100 invitations were issued, and upwards of 80 availed themselves of the invitation, and partook of the splendid entertainment provided by the host and hostess, Mr and Mrs Wren. A very pleasant evening was spent in talking over their various experiences and adventures, interspersed with singing and other social enjoyment is, which were entered into thoroughly by all present, there was only one drawback, viz., that the crew of the old lifeboat was not fully represented, which was much regretted as it was hoped to have a full gathering of all the crews.
