The Mayor of Redcar Coun. S.G. Chillito, J.P. on Wednesday sent this following telegram to H.R. Majesty Queen Mary on the occasion of her 81st birthday:
“For the citizens of the Borough of Redcar I send warmest congratulations on your 81st birthday with heartfelt prayers for the long continuance of your majesty’s heath and happiness.”

Last night the Mayor received the following message from Queen Mary’s Private Secretary, Buckingham Palace.

“Queen Mary commands me to express her sincere gratitude for your kind birthday message from the inhabitants of your Borough.”
