RESCUE FROM DROWNING AT REDCAR

On Monday last (28/08), a gentleman, whilst bathing at Redcar, got beyond his depth, and was carried out by the tide, when Mr. R. P. Skinner, of the Zetland Bath’s, noticed his danger, and put off in a small boat along with a man named Gilligan. They succeeded in reaching the gentleman just as he was sinking for the third time, and Mr. Skinner got him into the boat, he being quite helpless from exhaustion. This bakes, we believe, fourteen lives Mr. Skinner has been instrumental in saving.
