COATHAM – Margaret Lockwood Film Star Visit

MISS MARGARET LOCKWOOD’S
VISIT TO REDCAR

   As exclusively announced in our last issue star Miss Margaret Lockwood the famous film star is to stay at the Coatham Hotel, Redcar. She is travelling from the South by road and expects to arrive at six o’clock on Sunday night.

   She will rest that evening. Her first official engagement is on Monday morning at the Gaumont Cinema, Middlesbrough where she will attend a private pre-view of her latest film “I’ll Be Your Sweetheart.” To this function members of Middlesbrough and Redcar corporations have been invited and after the showing cocktails will be served at the Coatham Hotel and later there will be an official luncheon. An official of the Gaumont British Film Company will preside. Music will be played by Charles and his Orchestra.

   On Monday, after lunch, it is hoped Miss Lockwood will be able to visit a steelworks, and also Thornaby Aerodrome – the latter by kind permission of the Commanding Officer, Group Captain the Hon. A. F. Ward. Miss Lockwood will make personal appearances at the showing of her new film at approximately 4.20 and 7.20 on Monday. There will be a dinner party at the Coatham Hotel on Monday evening.
