CHARITABLE CONCERT AT REDCAR
A concert will be given in the Central Hall, Redcar, on Monday evening next (22/05) , by a party of local and amateurs, in aid of a fund for assisting the crew of the fishing yawl, “Mary,” of Staithes, who recently lost their boat, lines, and tackled during foggy weather and sea. An attractive programme has been provided, which includes the names of many of our principal local amateurs, notably that of Mr. Allatt, who has consented to see to serio-comic songs. The Redcar Tonic-Solfa Choir will also take part, and the will be under the direction of Mr. Barrowclough. We trust that the laudable and praiseworthy efforts of the promoters of the concert to help those in distress will be liberally acknowledged, and that a crowded audience will assemble in the Central Hall Monday night.
