CRUELTY TO A HORSE – REDCAR

At the Guisborough Police Court, on Tuesday (17/03), Edwin Curry was charged by Sgt Storey with cruelty to horse at Coatham on Thursday (12/03). The officer spoke saying the horse yoked in a cart. It had a raw wound on the near hind leg. The horse appeared to be in great pain, and was standing on three legs. He told the defendant to take the horse out of the cart, but he did not do so. Police constable Cook gave similar evidence, and the defendant was fined £2 and £1 costs.
