SHOP ROBBERY AT REDCAR.

            At the Guisborough police caught, on Tuesday (16/06), Thomas Berry, Joseph Driffield, and Robert Featherstone, you can men about 20 years of age, and hailing from Warrenby, were brought up in custody charged with having stolen two boxes of chocolate, from the shop of Messrs Dove and Jackson, grocers, Redcar. It appears that two of the men had visited the shop on Saturday night (13/06), and made a small purchase, when the boxes of chocolate were missed. Information was given to the police, and P.C. Cooke apprehended the whole three, it being found that the one who had not entered the shop had one of the boxes in his possession. They were each sentenced to 14 days’ hard labour.
