REDCAR AND COATHAM TRADESMEN’S
ASSOCIATION
A special meeting was held on Wednesday evening (17/09), in the Central Hall, when the members of the association unanimously agreed to close their shops every Wednesday afternoon, from first Wednesday in October to the last Wednesday in May; and they earnestly request the public to refrain from shopping on those days, and thereby show their appreciation of the efforts of tradesmen who are anxious to give a little relaxation to their assistants when possible. It was also agreed to form a mutual plate-glass insurance.
