CHRIST CHURCH COATHAM – DEDICATION FESTIVAL.

          The dedication Festival of the above church will commence on Wednesday next (09/08) with first vespers. Services on the Festival (Thursday, Aug. 10) will be as follows. :-

First Celebration, 6:30 a.m.; Matins, 7.30 a.m.; Second Celebration, 8 a.m.; High Celebration and Sermon, 10 a.m. sermon by the Rev. J. R. Lunn, Vicar of Martin Grafton. Evensong, 7:30 p.m. Sermon by the Rev. C. N. Gray car for a while, Vicar of Helmsley. Daily services during the octave: Matins, 7:30 a.m.; First Celebration, 6.30 a.m.; Second Celebration, 8.0 a.m. Evensong and Sermon, 7.30 p.m. On the octave, Aug. 17th, there will also be a High Celebration at 10 a.m. the following are the names of the clergyman who will preach at the various services: Friday, Aug.11th, Rev. J. Caverley Hordern, rector of Kirby Grindalyyth; Saturday, 12th, Rev. J. W. McCririck, incumbent of St. John’s, Stockton-on-Tees; Sunday, 13th, morning, Rev. E. T. Churton, Vicar of Ganton; evening, Rev. Lyndhurst B. Towne, rector of Middleton St. George, Darlington; Monday, 14th, Rev. T. J. Trevenen, incumbent of Dalton, Thirsk; Tuesday, 15th, Rev. R. Howard, Vicar of Rawdon; Wednesday, 16th, Rev. C. E. Cockin, Hull; Thursday, 17th, Rev. R. L. Page, Priest of the St. John’s Mission, Cowley. The offertories throughout the festival will be devoted to the organ fund. We may also state that on Wednesday, the 16th, and Thursday, the 17th, this sale of work will be held at the Central Hall in the aid of the organ fund.
