The annual Easter vestry meeting was held on Tuesday morning (23/03). There was a further attendance, and it was resolved to adjourn to the School room, on account of the vestry being too small. The chair was occupied by the vicar, the Rev. L. B. Towne. The balance sheet was presented and unanimously adopted. The usual election of church wardens and sidemen then took place. Mr. Hitchin, the former representative of the parish was selected by the vicar as his warden, in the place of Mr. Druller, retired; and Captain Burgess was elected as the parishioners’ warden. The vicar’s sidemen are Messrs. Druller, Lockey, and Thos. Bradley; and Captain Owen T. Jones. Messrs. W. Strother and G. W. Bottomley were chosen by the parishioners. Votes of thanks were recorded to the retiring church warden, Mr. Sidney Druller, for his past services, and to the Alderman.
