OBITUARY – BARNETT Thomas D
On Thursday morning (04/12), there passed from among us one of our oldest inhabitants, Thomas D. Barnett. The deceased was born at Coatham in 1805, and served his apprenticeship in Sunderland as a draper, &c., after which he removed to London, where he resided a number of years.
Having saved a modest competency he returned to his native village over 30 years ago to spend the remainder of his day, and enjoy the fruits of his toil. He was never tired of praising and invigorations properties of his native air.
