INQUEST REDCAR – MACE Mrs. E

          On Saturday last (01/07), an inquest was held at the Queen Hotel, before T. C. Sowerby, Esq., Coroner, on the body of Mrs Elizabeth Mace, the wife of Mr. A. D. Mace, watchmaker, Redcar, who was found dead on the previous day (30/06). Dr. Bennett said he had known deceased for three years, during which time he have frequently attended her for an infection of the heart. On Friday morning, about seven o’clock, he was called in and found her dead. She had been dead for five hours. She had died of fatty degeneration of the heart. Verdict in accordance with the medical testimony was returned.
