Accreditation The Redcar and Saltburn-by-the-Sea Gazette 23/11/1877.

GAS SUPPLY AT MARSKE AND
SALTBURN-BY-THE-SEA

We observe that the Cleveland Gas Company, which was incorporated in 1875, by special Act of Parliament, purposes of applying to Parliament in next session for powers to extend their district, so as to supply Marske and Saltburn-by-the Sea with gas. At present, those two places are supplied by the North-Eastern Railway Company’s works, which are situated midway between them. The Redcar and Coatham Gas Company, which was incorporated by Parliament in 1876, has also given the statutory notice of its intention to apply next session to extend its limits, so as to supply Marske and Saltburn-by-the-Sea.
