Accreditation the Redcar and Saltburn-by-the-Sea Gazette 05/10/1877.

THE CREMONA MUSICAL UNION

A rare treat was afforded to lovers of music in Redcar on Friday and Saturday evenings last (28/29/10), when the celebrated Greenhead family, consisting of eight brothers and sisters made their first appearance here. The audiences were comparatively small, but gave the talented artistes, a most hearty reception. The program consisted of overtures and selections by the whole company, and vocal and instrumental solos. The most notable feature in the entertainment, which showed each of the members of the family to the best advantage, was the “Fete Champetre, or grand rustic selection, the characteristic costumes, which is a grand fantasia of old English songs and glees;  this was received with much enthusiasm, especially the flageolet solo ” The Ploughboy,” which was most wonderfully performed by Mdile. Miranda, and a contra-bass solo, ” The Wolf,” by M. Everard, who showed himself a complete master of the instrument.
