REDCAR AND COATHAM GUN CLUB
On Friday last (20/08), the members of the Redcar and Coatham Gun Club, held their first meeting of the season in a field south of the town, when some excellent sport was enjoyed; some first class birds were supplied for the occasion, and many of them fell from the “dead shot” of the sportsman. In the evening the members and friends sat down to a substantial supper at the hostelry of Mr Middleton, the “Jolly Sailors” Hotel, and after enjoying the “sweets of life” spent the remainder of the evening in harmony, under the guidance of Mr Robert Wood as Chairman.
