 THE MERCHANT SHIPPING ACT.

The following is a complete list of the Courts of Survey established by the recent Merchant Shipping Act on the North East Coast, with the persons authorised to act as judges. :-

England: Berwick, Bellford, Alnwick, and Morpeth.

Judges of County Court Circuits 1 and 2, and the Recorder of Berwick; North Shields, Newcastle, Gateshead, South Shields, Sunderland, and Seaham Harbour.

Judges of County Court Circuits 1 and 2, and Stipendiary Magistrates at South Shields, and the Recorders of Durham, and Newcastle; Hartlepool and Stockton,

Judges of County Court Circuits 1 and 15, the Stipendiary Magistrate at Middlesbrough, and the Recorder of Hartlepool; Stokesley, Whitby, Scarborough, Bridlington, Beverley, Hedon, and Hull and the Recorders of Hull and Scarborough.
