UNPROVOKED ASSAULT AT WARRENBY

            Isaac Elan, who did not appear, was charged with committing an unprovoked assault on John Sigsworth, a Foreman at Messrs. Robson, Maynard, and Co, ironworks, at Warrenby, on the 5th inst. on and on, or dear all bruised 11 when the result here n that day. Defendant went up to complainant, took hold of him by the throat, and struck him violently three or four times, without having received any provocation. The magistrates considered it is a most unprovoked assault, and find the defendant, £1 and costs, or a month’s imprisonment.
