THE NEW REDCAR LIFEBOAT
On Monday next (30/07), the new lifeboat presented by the Free Gardeners to the Redcar fishermen, will be launched, and the event will be celebrated by a grand demonstration and procession of the United Order of Free Gardeners, and a public luncheon. Mrs. Dawson, of Weston Hall, Otley, long known as the munificent patroness and friend of Redcar, will perform the ceremony of christening the boat, and a day of general festivity may be expected. The boat is on the old principle, and similar in build to the old lifeboat so dear to the hearts of the Redcar fishermen and pilots.
