THE INCREASED RATES FOR RAILWAY PASSES

     The result of the application of the pass holders between Stockton and Middlesbrough and Redcar and Saltburn-by-the-Sea was made known on Monday, when the reply of the directors was received. The communication states that half the proposed advance for periodical tickets only will be charged during the present year, but for next year (1876) the full proposed rates will be charged. The advance thus to be paid will be shown by the following statement:

     The rates last year between Middlesbrough, Redcar, and Saltburn-by-the-Sea were – First class, £10; second class, £6

     The new rates for the present year, Middlesbrough to Redcar –

First class, £11; second class, £7-15s-0d.

Middlesbrough to Saltburn-by-the-Sea –

First class, £12-10s-0d; second class, £8-17s-6d.

The old rates between Stockton, Redcar, and Saltburn-by-the-Sea were-

First class, £12-10s-0d; second class, £8

The new rates from Stockton to Redcar area –

First class, £14; second class, £10.

From Stockton to Saltburn-by-the-Sea-

First Class, £14-15s; second class, £10-11s-6d.
