UNIVERSITY CERTIFICATES

The list has just been issued of those candidates who have succeeded in passing the Cambridge Local Examinations last December. Of about 20 boys entered at the Middlesbrough centre six have gained certificates—three of whom (Middleton, Sillars, and Abbey), are from Coatham Grammar School. Sillars and Middleton are placed in the second class in honours, which are the only honours gained by boys at the Middlesbrough centre. Since the formation of the Middlesbrough centre the only honours awarded have been gained by pupils of this school.
