WHIT MONDAY AT THE SEASIDE
On Monday last (29/05) large numbers of holiday people availed themselves of the numerous cheap trips to Redcar and Saltburn; both places were crowded with pleasure seekers who evidently enjoyed themselves to the utmost in bathing, boating, and donkey riding. The day was one of unusual loveliness, the deep blue tint of the sea continuing for the whole day, and in the evening the setting sun dyed the scene with a brilliance approaching that of the sunny clime of Italy. A more beautiful day at the seaside is rarely witnessed in the very height of the summer.
