1870 03 11 Redcar Local Board of Health Meeting

REDCAR LOCAL BOARD OF HEALTH. 

            At the monthly meeting held on Monday last (07/03) present, Messrs Lennard (chairman), J. Cowl, Mallaby, Watson, M. Crabtree (the surveyor), and H. Sale, as representative of Mr J. G. Thompson, clerk – the following plans were passed. :- A plan of dwelling house to be built on the Esplanade, by Capt Tomlinson; plan of a dwelling house to be built on the Esplanade, by Mr Jos. Mallaby; plan of alterations on the premises belonging to Miss Hymers, 125, High Street; plan of warehouse to be built by the Gas Co., In Alma Parade; and a plan of alteration behind the shop occupied by Mr Bates. A plan of a new shop front at 44, High Street, was rejected, on account of the present elevation not being Sean. The clerk was instructed to inform Mr R. Johnston that he had committed a breach of the building by-laws in erecting a shared in the Back Laying without first submitting a plan of the same for the approval of the Board. The meeting then, adjourned till the 25th inst.
