1871 09 15 Redcar Local Board of Health Meeting

REDCAR LOCAL BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING

         A special meeting of the Board was held on the 8th inst. Present: Mr. E. W. Lennard, chairman; Messrs. Harrison, Cowl, Mallaby, Webster, J. G. Thompson (clerk), and M. Crabtree (surveyor).

A plan of the abutment of the Redcar Pier was presented by Messrs. Head Wrightson, and Co., and approved. The resignation of Mr. J. F. Elgee as treasurer to the Board, was accepted, and Mr. T. G. Robinson was appointed in his stead, the banking account of the Board been removed to the Redcar Branch of National Provincial Bank.

The Inspector (Mr. Crabtree) having reported that James MaGuire and Peter Jackson kept pigs so as to be a nuisance, it was ordered that the Clerk prepared notices to effect an immediate removal of the pigs in both cases.
