ACCIDENT – Fishermen. Escape from drowning.

NARROW ESCAPE FROM DROWNING.

            On Monday, (15/08) Richard Picknett, fishermen, had a very narrow escape from drowning. He was out in a boat with his son, allowed about three-year is old, when the child accidentally fell overboard. Picknett immediately plunged into the sea and caught hold of him, but was unable to reach the boat, which drifted away. Happily, the occurrence was observed from the land, and the boat instantly launched. He was picked up with the child in a very exhausted condition. He is progressing favourably.
