CONGREGATIONAL SUNDAY SCHOOL FESTIVAL
On, Friday, the 31st ult., the festival of the Congregational Sunday School was held. The children partook of tea early in the afternoon, and at 4:30 p.m.. a large number of people sat down to a public tea provided in the Central Hall. The following ladies presided at the tables:- Mrs Jackson, Miss Tomlinson, Miss Cowl, Miss Wilkes, Miss Halliwell, and Mrs S. Williams. a public meeting was afterwards held in the chapel, when addresses were delivered by the Reverends , C. T. Trigg, A . S. Trotman, and Messrs Wainman, Shiel, and Watson
