PRESENTATION  MARINE LODGE FREE GARDENERS
REDCAR TO MR GEORGE WREN

            On Thursday night, the 9th., the members of the Marine Lodge of Free Gardeners, met at the Globe Hotel, for the purpose of presenting Mr George Wren with a testimonial consisting of the following address :- To Mr Geo. Wren, the late host of the Globe Hotel, Redcar. We, the undersigned committee and past officers of the Marine Lodge, 689, of the United Order of Free Gardeners, Redcar, wish to show our appreciation of your attention during the time the lodge has met at the Globe Hotel. At all our ordinarily as well as our anniversary gatherings, you have always striven to make us comfortable, and catered for us in the best possible way. We bake your acceptance of this small token of the steam for past favours, and rest assured the members generally, with those, wish that in your future career. You may be happy and prosperous, hoping her long to M Rowley, you’ll and Henri member, amongst us, and not only would we wish to tender you our thanks, but also your partner and family, as they, too, have been equally assiduous in their kind and unremitting attention.
