. CONCERT IN THE CENTRAL HALL.
On Monday evening last (31/08), the celebrated harpist, Aptommas, gave his harp recital to a select and highly appreciative audience, in the Central Hall. The performance was of a rich and varied character, embracing both the classical compositions of Beethoven and Mendelssohn, and variations on Scotch, Welsh, and Irish airs. When it is remembered that with no other resource but the harp, Mr Aptommas enchains the attention of an audience for two hours, and to the end, the performance is listened to wrapt attention, some ides may be formed of his skill.
