EDUCATION IN THE REDCAR DISTRICT.

We have much pleasure in referring our readers in Redcar and the district, to an advertised and of a select day school to be opened by Miss Spencer, at Redcar, of Coatham, after Christmas. With a superior training in all the higher branches of education, and considerable experience in imparting instruction, Miss Spencer will, further no small benefit upon the families in the district by offering them an opportunity of obtaining at their own door a first class education. It will not be out of place to mention that Miss Spencer was the translator of the beautiful French, Italian, and German proverbs which appeared from time to time in our columns. The rendering displayed not only a special facility in translation, but an acquaintance with the idiom of the languages not commonly possessed by English teachers. We doubt not Miss Spencer’s efforts to supply the district with an admitted want will meet with adequate success.
