DEFAULTING RATEPAYERS AT REDCAR
On Tuesday (20/03), at Guisborough Police Court, the following persons were summoned by John Marwood, collector to the Redcar Local Board of Health, for non-payment of special and general district rates. George Hardwick, £6.0s.2 ½ d; Robert Spink, £4.3s.4d; Richard John Royer, £5.2s.1d; Thomas Walker, £1.17s.6d; Robert Dunning, 16s.8d. Spink and Royer did not appear. The Bench made an order for the payment of the amount going in each case, together with costs. A number of other persons had been summoned for arrears of rates, but the cases were settled without going into Court.
